Support Programs

MWS is a division of Employment Connection, a nonprofit serving the St. Louis region for over 40 years. In addition to employment services, we offer additional support services that may be beneficial to you. If you need any of the following services, please complete the Request for Services Form and someone will respond to you.

SKILLUP
SNAP/ Food Stamp recipients with dependent(s) who are ready to improve their employment status can receive free program services including paid on-the-job training, job skills development, supportive services and exclusive access to real jobs. Interested individuals can contact us at 314-333-5627.

PROJECT PREVENTION
Individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness can receive services. We are not currently accepting online applications for this program. Check back as additional funding may become available.

PROJECT HOMECOMING, PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
Providing permanent supportive housing, case management, and job training for Disabled Heads of Household in the County and U.S. Veterans in St. Louis City. We are not currently accepting online applications for this program. C

PROJECT TRANSITION RAPID RE-HOUSING
Providing supportive housing, case management, and job training to assist homeless individuals and families as they transition to permanent housing. We are not currently accepting online applications for this program. C

BACK TO HEALTH, BACK TO WORK
Cognitive behavioral therapy program that addresses depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health disorders to help clients be able to retain their jobs.

EAST ST. LOUIS TANF AND SNAP
Serving families on public assistance with help getting benefits and job placement services.

CONNECTIONS TO WORK (TICKET TO WORK)

Providing case management and employment assistance to individuals receiving SSI or SSDI, allowing them to reenter the workforce and attain self-sufficiency.

Employment Connection is also a proud partner and supporter of the St. Louis ReCAST Project. This initiative is working to promote community resilience in the St. Louis Promise Zone.
